January, Wolf Month

The end of January brings a sigh of relief. It's known as the most depressing month for a reason, businesses struggle, those attempting dry January grimly soldier through it and we endure what seem like endless hailstorms. After a particularly gloomy few weeks I too gave in to the January blues. Amidst the bad news and general drudgery however I'm grateful for the things I've been able to see and do this month. The Saxon's called it 'Wolf month' and the Finnish word for January literally translates to 'oak moon' which has a beautiful ring to it. Here's to appreciating the good bits whilst outrunning the wolves of January.
